How to Connect Android Internet to Linux/BackTrack Devices

In windows, you can connect your android phone and share the Internet connection on your Phone to PC by just enabling Tethering.But in Linux , you can't directly enable Tethering,connect and browse. Have you tried ever ?
If you are new to Linux or BackTrack, then this guide will help you to get Internet on Linux by connecting your Android phone or tab.
So Lets start ...

What all things you will need ?

If your Android phone or Tablet don't have support to Tether via USB, you should download and Install following application on your Phone.

Download Wired-Tether App for Android

If you have support for USB Tethering, no need to download App.

Step #1 :
Connect your Android phone to PC via USB.

Step #2:
Enable USB Tethering on Phone

Step #3:
Open Terminal in your PC.

Step #4:
Type the following command exactly as shown below

dhclient usb0

Now wait a while.. Some processes will take place and you will be connected.

Here is the Opera Mini 5.1 Modded for Airtel Free GPRS. This Opera mini version is for java supported j2me handsets such as Nokia s40, Samsung handsets, Nokia s60 etc. Our previous post is about Opera Mini Hacked for Free Internet. That Mod is for Android Handsets which includes Samsung, Sony, HTC, Karbonn, Micromax, XOLO android phones tablets etc.

How to use Airtel Free Trick with Opera Mini ? :

If your phone is nokia s40, Download PROV file. And move prov file to another phone. Send back that to your phone via bluetooth.
If your phone is not s40, configure following PROXY settings:

Name : Opera Mini Achusoft
Proxy : 141.000.011.253
Port : 80
APN : airtelgprs.com

Download and Install Opera Mini Airtel Mod.
Now Activate the created settings as your default Internet settings.
